1 St. Catherine Monastery and Mount Sinai

Visits to Mount Sinai and Saint Catherine can be arranged daily throughout the year, departing from Dahab during our Egypt day tours.

Our staff member from Golavita Travel will meet and greet you at exactly 07:00 hrs at your hotel in Dahab to bring you to life the details of the St. Catherine Monastery and Mount Sinai day trip. This is a journey of a lifetime.

Then you will be off to the famous Monastery of St. Catherine, at the foot of St. Catherine's Mount and one of the early monasteries in Coptic Christianity set up in the sixth century. Also, you will go to the Museum of St. Catherine and look at the ancient icons of the fifteenth-century famous painter, Angelos.

The monastery was built on behalf of St. Catherine, the daughter of Kittery, who was beheaded by her father because of her Christianity and because of bending 50 of his followers to Christianity in 307 A.D. Finally, ascended the Mountain of Moses, considered one of the most important places where God spoke to Prophet Moses and gave him the Ten Commandments.

After the daytime trip is over, you will be transferred back to your hotel at Dahab.
