    Aswan High Dam

The first site in Aswan that you will see is the rock-filled Aswan High Dam, which was built between 1960 and 1970. The Great Pyramid of Cheops in Giza was constructed using eighteen times as much material as the Aswan High Dam. Lake Nasser was consequently formed, but it also submerged numerous valuable temples, fortresses, and chapels, including Beit El Wali, Abu Simbel, Kalabsha, and Amada. Indeed, one of the biggest artificial lakes in the world is the High Dam.

    Philae Temple & Isis Gate

You will begin your visit to Philae Temple, one of the best Greco-Roman temples in Egypt with a brief motorboat cruise to Isis's temple dock. Learn about the Greco-Roman era of ancient Egyptian history as you tour the temple with your guide. Explore the Nilometer, Hathor Temple, Trajan Kiosk, and the magnificent Mammisi of Philae as well. Sadly, the temple is in ruins, but magnificent carvings like the antiquated calendar, surgical instruments, and scenes featuring Cleopatra remain. You can also honor the god Sobek and Horus's relief when Isis takes the form of Sekhmet. One of the largest centers of healing in ancient Egypt, the Kom Ombo temple is the only temple where everything was reproduced. We will view some of the mummified crocodiles and their sarcophagi at the Crocodile Museum after the visit. We will also have time for coffee at the Nubian Caffee, which is located near the temple's entrance. At the end of the tour, you will be back to the Dahabiya and sail towards Edfu City.
